Here we did another live video on our FlexibleDieting.com’s Facebook page discussing the 5 reasons why you’re not losing weight.
We gathered these 5 reasons why you’re not losing weight from real life clinical coaching clients or inquiries, and working with over a thousand people in our coaching career.
About 99.9% of the time why people aren’t successful isn’t from the diet, it’s mostly from just not adhering to it.
Once you see the 5 reasons why most people are not losing weight, we give you 5 ways to overcome them.
These are the 5 reasons why you aren’t losing weight because…
Reason #5: YOU THINK CARBS ARE THE ENEMY
We get this all the time with new clients because society has lead us to believe that carbs are making us gain weight, but in reality it’s the amount of overall calories that they are consuming.
A lot of this comes down to knowledge and having a better understanding of what carbs really are and what how they can benefit you more ways than one.
When eaten in the proper amounts and times for your body type, they can do some pretty amazing things.
Once they discover how to eat for their body type, they realize why they are not losing weight.
Reason #4: YOU’RE REQUIRED TO BUY UNREALISTIC THINGS
You see it all over the place with marketing to buy the next best shake, or some weight loss pill, or better yet to buy a wrap to lose weight!
How about we work on educating ourselves a lot better so we can make the process enjoyable so it’s a true lifestyle change instead of relying on things that you don’t need.
The more education you have with nutrition and how your body responds to different types and quantities of food, the better results you’ll achieve long-term.
Reason #3: IT’S NOT ENJOYABLE
Who wants to severely restrict themselves to where they are miserable and to the point where you’re just not a happy person because of your diet?
We definitely don’t want to jump on that train!
You can make your weight-loss journey really enjoyable to where you can eat foods you love AND still make incredible progress
Again, this is going back to getting the proper education about nutrition and learning about your body with the types and quantities that work for your body.
Reason #2: IT’S NOT SUSTAINABLE
98% of those that start a “diet” plan gain all of their weight back, and sometimes more than when they started, within two years! That’s an incredible 2% chance of succeeding!
If you were told that in order for you to lose weight you have to cut out all diary, sweets, any carbs, and pretty much everything that you enjoy having from time to time, would you be able to stay on that “diet” for the rest of your life?
Don’t worry, you’re not alone.
If someone told you that you can’t have something, you’re going to want it more.
Usually severe food restrictions cause people to binge pretty heavily or cause them to fail.
But if you were able to bring in food here and there that you enjoy in moderation, it helps prevent any overeating, which makes it so much more sustainable long-term.
That’s why Flexible Dieting is so amazing!
Reason #1: YOU’RE LYING TO YOURSELF
How many times have you tried a weight loss plan where you’re doing really good during the week but then on the weekends you go off the plan, gain the weight back that you worked so hard to get off during the week, and end up frustrated come Monday?
A lot of people seem to forget that they are taking a hand full of food or random bites there.
Or over the weekend you like to convince yourself that you deserve to have a weekend off of the diet because you did so well during the week.
Then after the weekend of disaster ends, Monday hits and you ended up gaining 5 lbs and you can’t believe it!
The honest truth is that you’re not being honest with yourself about how much you are really eating.
Flexible Dieting allows you to have food that you enjoy while making consistent progress every week and through the weekend.
The system educates you so you have a better understanding of nutrition that leads to long-lasting results.
